Prato · all of Europe

From Italian ports to all of Europe, by way of Prato.

D&F S.R.L. does storage, transport and distribution. Containers arrive from Italian ports, the goods are unloaded and put into the warehouse at our Prato facility, and from there they leave again for the whole of Europe.

The chain

From the port to the rack.

Port, road, warehouse, rack, Europe. Five steps, always the same: that is why goods landed at a port can leave again for their consignee without passing through three different companies.

  1. A container terminal at sunset: a quay crane lowers a container while articulated lorries wait along the quay, beside a moored container ship.

    The port

    Containers arrive from Italian ports.

  2. Three articulated lorries on a motorway at sunset, among hills.

    The road

From there, transport to the Prato facility.

  3. A logistics yard at sunset: a row of loading docks, an articulated lorry manoeuvring and a forklift moving a pallet.

    The warehouse

On arrival the container is unloaded.

  4. A warehouse aisle between tall racking loaded with pallets: a worker reads a barcode, a forklift carries a wrapped pallet.

    The rack

The goods go into storage and stay until they are needed.

  5. An articulated lorry leaves the gate of a logistics site at sunset; the row of docks on the right, hills behind.

    Europe

Distribution leaves Prato and reaches the whole of Europe.

Coverage

We do not stop at the border.

Distribution covers the whole of Europe. That is the difference between a local warehouse and an operator that takes the goods all the way to their destination.

Three things, and they run in line

Storage, transport, distribution. Taken one at a time they are three trades; put in line they are a single route, and that is how we do them.

Inside a warehouse: two runs of tall racking, a worker recording an item with a scanner, a forklift carrying a pallet towards the bays at the far end.

01

Storage

Goods come into the Prato warehouse and stay as long as they are needed.

A semi-trailer being loaded at the dock: a forklift lifts a wrapped pallet, a worker checks a document.

02

Transport

Collection from Italian ports and the run to the Prato facility.

Outdoor loading docks at first light: a semi-trailer drawn up at the open door and pallets ready on the apron.

03

Distribution

From the Prato facility to the destination, anywhere in Europe.
